My grandparents, father uncles and aunt all had to leave Dieburg and Germany in time in order to survive. One of my grandmothers did not make it and was sent to Auschwitz from Ratibor. My parents and I left Breslau, in the "last minute", on May 26 1939, to Trieste and were lucky to survive. Unfortunately I cannot attend the inauguration since it is during our High Holydays period. Although I speak fluent German and read it too, I feel more comfortable to write in English. Please thank all persons involved in the erection of the Gedankenstein. Best personal regards, Julius Jekutiel Jehuda Wagschal.
